Is this belt made of genuine top-grain leather?

Yes, it’s crafted from top-grain genuine leather—not bonded, PU, or corrected split leather. Top-grain is great for its smooth, refined surface and supple feel while retaining natural strength.

Will the leather crack or peel after frequent use?

No. Because we use full-slab top-grain leather without a heavy plastic coating, it won’t peel like bonded leather. You may see light surface creasing at your most-used hole, which is a normal characteristic of genuine leather and not a defect. Please avoid soaking it in water

Is the 1.5 inch width suitable for formal suits?

The 1.5 inch (approx. 38mm) width is considered a casual to smart-casual width. It’s wider than a classic dress belt (which is typically 1.0-1.25 inches), so it may not fit through very narrow suit trouser loops. It works very well with chinos, jeans, cargo pants, and thicker casual trousers where a bolder, rugged look is desired.
