I couldn't be happier with this purchase! This coat has exceeded my expectations. I read the reviews before purchasing it and most reviews were very positive but until I actually wore the coat for several weeks in rain, snow and extreme cold, I wasn't completely convinced as to how great it is.
In the past, I have bought winter coats more for style than anything. This winter I wanted a durable long lasting coat that would be great for all kinds of winter weather. It's first test came this past November in a light rain. No problem. The outer layer keeps you completely protected. I didn't sense or feel any moisture penetrate to the inside of the coat and it probably would be the same in an absolute downpour but I can't verify that. Fast forward 8 weeks and the Midwest got it's first shot of Artic air with temps dropping down to single digits and negative wind chills. This coat handled all of it like a pro. I felt warm on all occasions. The wind at times was 25mph and it completely seals that out like a pro. Yes I did have a sweater on underneath most days but I did wear this with a short sleeve shirt one day underneath to test it and it was warm on the inside. The outer layer technology truly is amazing. The inner layer doesn't seem too thick and the "fake fur" lining or whatever is the last layer next to your body is super soft and comfortable.
In conclusion, I can't rate this coat high enough. Whether you are skiing or just using it for everyday winter weather for 3 or more months including rainy days, you are sure to love this coat. I do have one small negative but I understand it. The outer layer of the coat is the key to it's greatness but it does have a "crinkly" to it due to what it is made of. This is NOT a completely QUIET coat if that matters to you. When you walk, it will make a slight "crinkly" sound and when you move when sitting down but it's nothing major at all. Some winter coats have more of a "swisher" type sound but I would describe this as "crinkly".
This is a must buy at $50.00 or so. A very practical and warm winter coat that is not overly stylish but still looks decent and will keep you warm and dry. This is a "Amazon Choice" for a reason.

Wonderful jacket that kept me warm in negative temperatures while I was on a visit up north. My favorite feature is the thumb holes to help keep the sleeves in place. I went a size up for bulky layers and it fit me like a charm

This jacket keeps me warm and dry at a great price. My only suggested improvements would be to have a big inside pocket or two to easily fit hat and gloves. There is a hidden inside zippered pocket and a smaller inside pocket. The jacket is heavier than I prefer, but warm, wind proof,and waterproof. Satified with my purchase as we have had some very cold days of single digit temperatures and MINUS 20 – 30 degree Fahrenheit windchills.

Boy oh boy where do I start. I opened this package to see what my fate held. To my surprise I was brought nothing but pure beauty. The inside, soft, warm, and full. The outside, waterproof, sheek, and cool to the touch. When I put it on I feel like iron man. The sleeves wrap around my arms protecting them from any object being thrown at me, and the hood. The hood is just spectacular. It’s like a giant warm fuzzy weighted blanket that is indestructible. Buy this if you want to feel like iron man. Or don’t. And be a loser.

Snow was coming, my son had grown, we needed something fast. This jacket was inexpensive and amazing!! Super warm! My son is 5’4” 130 lbs and small fit perfectly! Great jacket…will order again! Thank you Amazon for making his snow day comfortable and warm!
